This workshop explores creativity and wellness from a holistic perspective.
Be guided through a practice of gentle yoga with focus on relaxing the nervous system through breathing, guided relaxation and meditation.  Learn about local plants that offer both nourishing benefits as well as exceptional natural dye colour.  
Create your own personal meditation shawl and cotton pouch using natural dyes.

Open to all yoga levels (including newbies!).  All materials will be provided.

About Tania: 

Tania Love is a Toronto based visual artist who takes the cues for her work from the natural and cultural environment.  Her curiosity in the intersection between traditional methods and innovative expressions has led her to explore a breadth of materials.  She places emphasis on process oriented, tactile works to invite quiet, slower rhythms and connection to natural cycles. Recipient of numerous grants, international residencies and exhibitions, her work has been seen in public and commercial galleries and design projects across the globe from her native Toronto and Ontario surrounds, to NY,  France, Poland, Tokyo Japan and India.   Her most recent solo exhibition was at the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum this April - June, 2019.
Tania has been practicing yoga since 1991 and has teacher’s certification with Nitya Sadhana Kutir in Kerala, India as well as on going training at the Himalayan Institute in Pennsylvania. With two decades of teaching experience she continues to marvel at how the practice can be adapted in so many ways and offer multiple benefits to practitioners at any level.
