Artist Statement
My work has been inspired by nature, especially stone, sand, clay, all sorts of mineral forms from the earth.

In my work, the mineral particles are playing to create beautiful and natural textures. I emphasize the bare skins and simplify the shapes to show fundamentals of natural process. These ancient substances lead me through step by step, and teach me how's nature works.

My work begin from making clays, slips, glazes and particles from the scratch. Depending on project, I choose a technic to deliver the best outcome. Meta-Morphic project is made on wheel to emphasize the layers of minerals in a finely polished manner. Hand building and slap technics are the main source of Paleo project for its organic shapes and raw texture.

In general, I like to find a way to stack my pieces together. Because, similar to a stone balancing in nature, Stacks show us how we use beautiful sources from nature, and architect our own creations in the simplest way. It represents our innate playful and creative minds around nature. And that's my mind when it come to my work with clay.
