Collection: Michelle Bishop
Michelle’s clay vessels are handbuilt. Her work is an expression of how she feels and what she responds to. She embraces imperfections which allows her the freedom to intuitively bring her work to it’s conclusion without the burden of seeking perfection.
Her vessels contain the deliberate and accidental characteristics of decay and deterioration. Her work often resembles ancient artifacts. They evoke the sense of something remembered.
Michelle connects with the brokenness of objects as well as people. As someone living with the depression and anxiety that come with having bipolar she finds the process of making meditative as well as therapeutic.
