Carmella 'auditions' a number of patterned cotton fabrics to see how they work together, eventually settling on approximately a dozen. She cuts them into strips that are sewn in a myriad of combinations and then cuts those at ninety degrees, into squares. These are re-sewn and the process repeated half a dozen times. She developed this process through experimentation, having in mind a mosaic of colours, organic stitching and a great deal of texture.
Mounted on a wood box frame.
Measures approximately 8" x 8'".
