This looks like a painting, but it's not.
A handmade sheet of paper is pressed to express the extra water leaving a leathery sheet to which layers of pigmented wet pulp are applied using simple squirt bottles to produce this “paper pulp paintings”. Because the coloured pulp is applied directly to the freshly made and pressed sheet of paper, a final pressing compresses the layers so that it is impossible to see where one layer stops and the other starts. This gives a very different aesthetic than a traditional painting. This complicated process produces a one of a kind painting.
